Voice coil

The voice coil mounted on the voice coil carrier in the air gap converts the electric signal into motion. Coils are made of copper or aluminium. As a rule, the coils are made of wire with a round cross-section. To increase the density of the windings, square or even octagonal cross-sectional wire can be used. This provides slightly improved heat dissipation to the voice coil carrier.
